You’ll still enjoy all the classic desert activities like dune bashing, sandboarding, camel rides, and a cultural evening at the camp. But once other guests head back to the city, you stay behind to enjoy a peaceful night in the desert.
Tents and sleeping bags are provided, and you’ll sleep in a designated area at the camp. It is safe, quiet, and surrounded by nothing but sand dunes and sky. In the morning, you’ll wake up early, watch the sunrise, and enjoy a light breakfast before heading back to your hotel.

While this is a desert experience, it’s arranged for comfort and safety. Tents are clean and equipped with basic bedding. The camp has proper toilets, hand wash stations, and staff available throughout the night. If you’re visiting in winter, the desert can get chilly at night, so it’s smart to carry a jacket or hoodie.

2:30 PM – 3:30 PM: Hotel pickup by 4x4 vehicle and drive to the Lahbab or Al Awir desert (about 45 minutes from the city). 4:30 PM: Start with an exciting session of dune bashing. Your driver takes you over the rolling sand dunes, giving you a thrill ride with plenty of photo ops. 5:00 PM: Camel rides and sandboarding near the camp. You’ll get a chance to ride camels and try out sandboarding on small dunes. 5:30 PM: Stop at a scenic spot to catch the desert sunset. This is one of the most photographed moments of the trip. 6:00 PM: Arrive at the desert camp. You’ll be welcomed with Arabic coffee and dates. Relax in traditional seating, enjoy henna painting, try a shisha, and take photos in local attire. 7:00 PM: Dinner time. The buffet is open with live BBQ grills, salads, rice, grilled meats, and desserts. 7:30 PM – 8:30 PM: Live performances begin. Watch belly dancing, a Tanoura spinning show, and a fire performance. 9:00 PM: Day guests leave. Overnight guests receive their bedding. Settle into your tent or rest in an open-air seating area depending on your preference. 9:30 PM – 11:00 PM: Free time to relax, enjoy silence, or stargaze. 5:30 AM – 6:00 AM (next day): Wake up and enjoy the sunrise view with a cup of tea or coffee. 6:30 AM – 7:00 AM: Light breakfast is served. 7:30 AM – 8:00 AM: Drop back to your hotel in Dubai.
